Consecration

This week has been a very interesting week. It started off last Monday with a wedding at the church for a member named Lisa Judson. She and her Boy Sam have been dating for a few months and decided to get married at the church.

The wedding was supposed to start at 4. She asked me and Sister Hughes to come at like 3:30 to show a church video. I was dying but I said sure, if that is what you want. So when we get there. They had just pulled up and wanted to set up all these things for the Wedding. I WAS DYING! She is just wearing her jeans and a T-shirt to set up in. Then she looks at Sister Hughes and I at about 3:55 and said, so can either of you do my hair... Oh boy so we do her hair and she changes.

Then she hands us a flower and said could you two be my bridesmaids hahah so we walked down this very awkward aisle.. I was dying inside but hey it was all for a good cause.
We also had zone conference this week. Oh It was so great. The whole thing was about how to help the Traverse City District become a stake and how we can be more consecrated missionaries. Sister Hughes and Sister Bair sang a duet and did phenomenal. They both have great voices and did great together, you could say that I am their manager as I told them that they should sing together :)

We also have been able to teach Barb quiet a bit lately. She came to a self defense RS meeting this week and just chatted with everyone. We had to leave early but, rumor has it that she was saying that she doesn't think her pastor tells them all truth and she really doesn't like him. The only problem is that she has promised to take her dad to church each and every week and he won't switch churches. We talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ with her last night. She is coming along very nicely. Please keep her in your prayers as we are hoping for her to be able to come to church with us!

"Strength isn't something you have, but it is something that God helps you find." -Emma Smith
Alma 26: 12  Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

I know that as we put all of our trust in our Father in Heaven, all things will be made possible. That as we try to do things by ourselves they can be nearly impossible. That burdens at times can be heavy and going through life can be a very big challenge if we strive to do it alone. Remember our Savior and the price that he paid for each and everyone of us so that we would NEVER have to go through things alone. This time of year is getting busy, school is starting again, work is probably in full swing, kids are gone and so much to do. I know though that as we take each day at a time that we can overcome the world. That through our faith we can move mountains, calm storms, bless those around us that we love and change the world. I love you all so much. I hope that you all have a wonderful week and remember that you can do all things as you trust in your Father in Heaven and your Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do for any of you.
Love Always and Forever,
Sister Milar

This cute Colombian gave us Popcorn because she just thought we were the best people in the world!
No point in doing my hair because it rains everyday and it just starts to curl! Supporting Less Actives at a band concert with Richard Marvin.
