Happy Valentines Day!

I love you all and hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day!💞
This week has been a fantastic week!

Starting off with the most happy news of the week. Sorry here is one of my long story shorts... So Nicki our Investigator. We have been meeting with her at least once a week since September. She is awesome, she truly has a desire to know if the gospel is true. Every week since September I've asked her to pray. So Monday was like any other day, we get there and I ask her to open with the prayer and she laughs and says not today. She is just so shy and embarrassed by it.  We had a lesson about keeping the Sabbath day holy, and it was a very good discussion. She and her family treat Sunday like any other day and she never even thought about this concept. So she said she is going to try it. That was a surprise, but we were so excited. SO again I asked her to pray and she said no.

Then We met with her Thursday. I asked again and she said not today. We talked about the 10 commandments. SHE LOVED THE LESSON! By the end of the lesson the spirit was so very strong and she had opened up a lot to us. We asked her to say the closing prayer and she said..." well I'd have to think about what to say..." So we all folded our arms and bowed our heads and just waited. It took her a few minutes but she PRAYED! NICKI PRAYED!! Well She has prayed on her own but not with us there. I was so, so happy!

Another cool experience that happened this week. One night Sister Garner and I were walking home. As we were walking a guy was walking towards us a distance away and I said is that Joey? (another of our investigators) and she said i don't think so, but I said i think it might be joey! When he approached us we started talking and asked his name and he said JOE!! haha it was awesome. We had a good conversation with him, but he wasn't interested. I left him a card with our number and said call us if you change your mind or anything. Well two days later we get a phone call. Guess who! Joe!! He wants to meet. So we met with him on Sunday. WE had a wonderful conversation with him and are meeting with him again later this week.

I love serving the Lord and bringing souls closer to him. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. It has blessed my life so much and I know that it can bless your lives too as long as you put your heavenly father first in all that you do.

I love you all and hope that you have a wonderful week. :)

All things good! ♥

Transfers happened this last week and I have stayed put! I am staying in Midland for another 6 weeks. :) This is honestly such a blessing for a few reasons.

1st: We met this awesome kid named Joey. Joey is 20 years old. Born and Raised in Midland. He was put in foster care at a very young age and then adopted later on. We met him through our friend named David Grimm. Joey told us the first day we talked to him that he doesn't believe in God. People tried to shove Catholicism down his throat and he just didn't believe it.

We sat and talked to him. The next day we taught him about the restoration of the gospel. He loved it and said he can just feel it.  We explained that he is feeling the spirit. We invited him to pray about it and asked if he would like to potentially be baptized if he comes to know the truth of it. He said yes! So we set a date of March 11th for him. He came to church on Sunday and loved it! He is such a character. I am so glad we were able to meet him and talk to him more.

2nd: Nicki is doing just fantastic. She has really had a change of heart these last couple of weeks and I have loved to see it. She is much more willing to dive into the scriptures and to be open minded. For example, We had a lesson yesterday about Keeping the Sabbath day Holy. We talked about the importance of putting the Lord first on the Sabbath. Pointed out that it is a commandment to keep the Sabbath holy. She said she is going to work to do that. That it will be very hard, because right now she isn't doing anything that she should besides going to church and that she is going to work towards being better. We were so proud and happy to hear that. The cool thing is that if we would have had this lesson a month ago the outcome would be completely different.

God has a plan for everyone and it is a perfect plan. I am so grateful that I get to experience such wonderful changes here in Midland and see his plan slowly but surely unfold. I love the gospel so very much. It is life changing and it is something that will always continue to change your life as you continue to study and learn. Read the scriptures, pray, go to church. Those are the things that will help you develop a better relationship with our Heavenly Father.  If you look at the first letters of each of those things I mentioned earlier you will see it spells out CPR. For all that know me know I love all things medical. Church, Prayer and Reading are the things that will keep us alive and can help us live again and more fully, just like when someone performs CPR on someone.

I hope that everyone has a fantastic day! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

I LOVE YOU ALL!
I also know that Heavenly Father Love You All!
Keep being so great and remember you are never alone :)

Subject: Transfers

Transfers are once again. I can't believe how fast the time flies by here.

Funny story of the week:
So Sister Garner, bless her soul. Isn't a very experienced driver haha. We were going out to Beaverton one afternoon, which is a suburb of Midland, about 45 minutes away in no mans land. We were driving a long and I was texting people and just staying productive well Sister Garner missed the turn. So she turned at the next turn, which is a dirt road with a bit of ice. Half way down the road she starts to sweat and says, "man it is getting hot in here." she was a bit nervous. Anyway, as she was driving she wasn't paying attention to how deep the snow was, so she drove us right into a stand still. We were stuck. I switched her spots and tried to wiggle us out but it wasn't going anywhere. So after a few minutes we call some people no one answers. I decide let's call AAA. We call them and as she is punching numbers in she rejects another call and I say , "who was that?" She tells me Brother Miller, and I say you've got to call him back! He is the one that will be able to pull us out. I know he has pulled elders out multiple times. So we call him and I tell him where we are and the worst part! It was his birthday!! Well Happy Birthday Brother Miller! He happily came and pulled us out with his truck and all was well.

We also had Zone Conference. It was awesome. We talked a lot about how we can better feel the spirit and invite the spirit more in lessons. The spirit was so strong! We also talked about all the mission changes that have occurred and how we will apply them to our schedules. I do love the freedom the new schedule brings. I feel more productive believe it or not.

Also, We put another investigator on date. He is the cutest. He is about 70 years old and loves that he can feel the spirit with us. We usually see him 2x's a week. He wants to keep learning and just says that he needs to be better and is ready to move forward. I was nervous to invite him to be baptized because generally older people are very stuck in their ways, but he is so much more willing to learn than most. His reply to baptism was well I guess I don't see why not. I just want to keep learning and reading the Book of Mormon.

I love being a missionary and I encourage all of you to try to find ways that you can be a missionary. A fantastic book that you all should look into reading and doing with your family is called, "The Power of Everyday Missionaries."

The gospel of Jesus Christ is true and I know it is true through the power of the Holy Ghost. God lives and loves each one of you and is there for you always. Keep being wonderful examples to those around you.

Oh before I forget, transfer week is this week so I will probably be emailing this week on Saturday. So don't be surprised to hear from me then!

I LOVE YOU ALL!

PS: The picture is of the girls in my district and Elder Fiame, He leaves next week! He is so fantastic. Also, my companion is standing on the opposite side of me on the end in the tan dress.
